Session description (from the Toronto Parents of Multiple Births Association website): Please join us for an evening with insight from parenting expert Ann Douglas on Parenting Through the Storm - How to Handle the Highs, the Lows, and Everything in Between. Ann is the author and creator of the Mother of All Books ® series: The Mother of All Pregnancy Books, The Mother of All Baby Books, The Mother of All Toddler Books, and The Mother of All Parenting Books. The books in the series have sold over half a million copies in North America to date. Ann's latest book, Parenting Through the Storm - How to Handle the Highs, the Lows, and Everything in Between, is a guide to parenting a child who is struggling with a mental health, neurodevelopmental, or behavioural challenge. This topic affects many families with multiples and is a personal topic for Ann. Drawing on her own experience and expertise, Ann shows you how to cope with worry and frustration about a child’s behaviour; how to effectively advocate for your child and work through treatments; how to manage siblings’ concerns and emotions; and, most importantly, how to thrive as a family. Members may bring guests. However, please ensure your guests will honour their commitment prior to registration. $5 per person. Registration details.
